A blog section to share photography, printing, techniques, and more news

I’m excited to welcome you to my blog section.  This is new territory for me but I think it will be a great way to share some of my photography as well as an opportunity to get to know some of you.  Read on to see what will be included and how you can participate.

What will be in this section?

My thoughts are that this will be a place to let you know what I’m working on, some tips and techniques I have for both photographing and printing, upcoming events and more.  I hope that you will enjoy this section and will find it interesting and useful.  There is a comment area at the bottom of each article where you can ask questions about what I covered in the article or share your observations about a topic I put here.

I want to comment but is it safe?

I am very conscious about security and privacy concerns and like many of you, I’m very careful about where and when I share my information.  If you post a comment using the “comment form” you will be required to either log in using an existing account (like Google, Yahoo, etc.) or use your email address.  This information will NEVER be displayed or shared (even I won’t know what your email address is).  This is necessary so that you can be notified when I or someone else replies to your comment.  If you feel uncomfortable posting in this section and have a question, feel free to contact me directly and I’ll be happy to respond that way.  The only thing that will appear is the name you have associated with your Google, Yahoo, or what you manually type in the field if using your email address.

How do I make a comment?

Underneath each article is a comment form and then if any exist, user comments.  If you want to make a comment in general, you can use the form above all of the comments.  If you are replying to an existing comment, you can click the “reply” link under the comment you are replying to.

Simply click in the form area and begin typing.  When you are finished, click the “Post as” button and enter in your information.

How will I be notified?

Check the notification checkbox if you want to be automatically notified when someone replies to this article (this is recommended if you are expecting a reply or want to follow the article comments, otherwise you’ll have to check back periodically to see if anyone replied).

I want to follow the comments but I don’t want to make a comment

Even if you don’t want to make a comment you can still follow the comment thread.  Simply click on the “email notifications” or “RSS” feed at the bottom of the comment area and you will be notified by email when others comment.
